Seafront boulevard
A road runs along the coast in a long line. It separates the city from the water and gives the map a strong, continuous edge on one side.

Dipolog Map Poster & Print
Dipolog is the capital of Zamboanga del Norte, on the northwestern coast of Mindanao. On a map, it forms a band of streets running parallel to the shore, with a seafront boulevard marking the water's edge. The land rises behind the town into green hills, and a river reaches the sea near the centre. The airport and roads along the coast link it to the rest of the peninsula.
The city is often described as a gateway to the Zamboanga Peninsula. It sits next to Dapitan, where José Rizal lived in exile in the 1890s, and the two cities together form one of the region's main historic and urban centres. Dipolog's boulevard is its best-known public space, used for evening walks along the water.
A Dipolog map poster uses the coastline as its main line. The long straight run of the seafront, the grid of blocks behind it and the higher ground inland give the design a clear structure. In black and white, the shore reads like a horizon, and the city is drawn above it.

Coastal grid
The central streets form blocks set behind the shore. The fairly regular pattern shows how the city grew outward from the water toward the hills.
Inland hills
Behind the town the terrain rises, and the streets become fewer and more winding. That gradual thinning leads the eye from the coast into the green interior.
