De kaart
El Milia Map Poster & Print
El Milia lies in the east of Jijel Province, where the wooded mountains of Little Kabylie meet the broad valley of the Oued El Kebir. On a map, the town sits on rising ground above the river. Its streets bend with the slopes, and roads lead down the valley toward the Mediterranean coast a short distance north.
The town is one of the main centres of the eastern Jijel region and serves the villages in the surrounding hills. The valley has farmland on the flat ground by the river, and forested ridges rise on either side.
An El Milia map poster shows a town shaped by its terrain. Streets turn with the hills, the river cuts a wide curving path through the valley, and the roads follow the lie of the land. The result is an organic composition, far from the grids of flatter cities.

Slope-following streets
The town's roads bend and loop to follow the hillside. They create a flowing, irregular pattern that reflects the terrain.
Little Kabylie hills
Wooded ridges surround the valley. Winding mountain roads cross them and give the edges of the map a finely detailed texture.
