Old quarter
The historic part of town climbs the lower slopes in narrow, irregular lanes, clearly distinct from the straighter streets laid out on the flatter ground below.

Elmalı Map Poster & Print
Elmalı sits on a high plateau in the western part of Antalya province, far above the Mediterranean coast. The town lies at the foot of mountains, with its older quarters on the slopes and newer streets extending onto the flatter plain below. Orchards and fields surround it on the upland basin. The name comes from the Turkish word for apple, and the area is known for its apple orchards.
The old town contains traditional timber-framed houses and the Ömerpaşa Mosque, a notable Ottoman-era building. Nearby lies Lake Avlan, a shallow lake on the plain. The combination of mountain slopes, orchards and a historic centre gives Elmalı a character quite different from the beach resorts along the coast of the same province.
An Elmalı map poster shows how a highland town sits within its setting. The irregular lanes of the older quarter contrast with the more ordered streets of later growth, and roads fan out across the plateau toward villages and farmland. In fine monochrome lines, the town reads as a compact cluster against open, cultivated land and rising ground.

Upland plain
Around the town, the plateau opens into orchards and fields, crossed by roads that connect Elmalı with the surrounding villages of the highlands.
Mountain edge
Slopes rise on one side of the town, limiting its growth and giving the built-up area a firm edge where the streets stop and the terrain takes over.
