Highway spine
The main road through Gojjam runs straight through town and organises everything around it, giving the poster a strong axis that the eye follows from edge to edge.

Finote Selam Map Poster & Print
Finote Selam is a town in the West Gojjam area of Ethiopia's Amhara Region, on the high, rolling plateau south of Lake Tana. Its name translates roughly as path of peace. On the map it grows along the main road that crosses Gojjam toward Bahir Dar, with the densest blocks gathered near the centre and looser streets spreading out on either side.
Like many Ethiopian highland towns that have grown quickly in recent decades, it has two textures side by side. An older core of short, irregular lanes sits next to newer, more regular extensions at the edges. Beyond them the countryside is divided into small farm plots, crossed by footpaths and tracks that link the town to the villages around it.
A Finote Selam map poster captures that growth in a single frame. The road forms a strong spine, and the finer mesh of residential streets fills in around it. In monochrome the contrast between the dense centre and the open plateau stands out clearly, which makes the poster a readable and honest portrait of a working regional town.

Old and new blocks
Irregular lanes near the centre sit beside newer, more regular extensions, a visible record of how quickly the town has expanded in recent decades.
Plateau farmland
Beyond the built edge, the highland is divided into small fields and tracks, which read as a soft, fine texture around the denser urban core.
