Floridia Map Poster & Print
Floridia lies in the south-east of Sicily, a short distance inland from Syracuse, in a plain of orchards and citrus groves below the Hyblaean plateau. On a map the town stands out for its orderly layout: a network of straight streets and rectangular blocks, compact and clearly bounded, with country roads leading away toward neighbouring towns and the coast.
Like much of the Val di Noto, Floridia was hit by the great earthquake of 1693 and rebuilt in the decades that followed, which helps explain its regular plan and the baroque churches in the centre. The countryside around it remains closely tied to agriculture, with fields and groves marked out by dry-stone walls and farm tracks.
A Floridia map poster emphasises this sense of design: the grid of the centre, its principal streets, and the loose pattern of plots and lanes beyond the edge of town. In the Sand or Paper styles it evokes the warm stone of south-eastern Sicily, while Classic black & white turns it into a crisp architectural drawing.

Main axes
A few wider streets cross the grid as main axes, giving the composition its strongest lines and guiding the eye toward the heart of the town.
Citrus countryside
Around the town, small agricultural plots, groves and farm lanes form an irregular mosaic that softens the edges of the urban grid.
