Ḩājjīābād lies in the interior of Hormozgan Province in southern Iran, well inland from the port of Bandar Abbas. Here the land rises from the hot coastal lowland into the ranges of the Zagros foothills, and the town occupies a valley surrounded by bare, folded mountains.
