Ishikari Map Poster & Print
Ishikari lies on the coast north of Sapporo, and its map is dominated by where a great river meets the sea. The Ishikari River, one of the longest in Japan, makes its final bends here before entering Ishikari Bay, leaving a sandbar, old channels and wetlands along the way. Along the coast, a long sandy beach runs in a smooth curve, backed by coastal forest.
The city combines very different landscapes. Near the river mouth is the older settlement, historically tied to fishing and river trade. To the south, suburban districts with a regular street grid serve people working in Sapporo, and along the bay the Ishikari Bay New Port has developed with warehouses, industry and, more recently, offshore wind turbines.
An Ishikari map poster works as a portrait of water and land. The winding river and its abandoned meanders, the clean edge of the coast and the orderly suburban grid all appear together, giving the composition variety while keeping it calm. It is a strong choice for anyone connected to Sapporo's coastal north.

Waarom Ishikari
Een kaart met betekenis
Ishikari is where Sapporo meets the sea, a place of beach days, river views and quiet neighbourhoods. A map of it suits people who live there, grew up there or remember the drive out to the coast.
Add a personal title and subtitle and adjust the coordinates line. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand; Blueprint makes the river and coastline stand out especially well. Printed posters are available with an optional wooden frame.
