Valley-floor streets
The streets keep to the flatter ground by the river, giving the town a long, narrow outline. The shape is clearly guided by the terrain rather than laid out on a blank grid.

Itanhandu Map Poster & Print
Itanhandu sits in the south of Minas Gerais, in the green uplands of the Serra da Mantiqueira near the borders of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. On a map, the town fills a valley floor. Streets run along the low ground beside a river, and the blocks thin out as the terrain rises toward the surrounding hills.
The town grew with the railway that once crossed this stretch of the Mantiqueira, and the old line still shapes part of the street pattern. Around it, small farms, pastures and wooded slopes cover the land, and neighbouring towns string along the same valley road.
Because the relief is so close, an Itanhandu map poster feels contained. The street grid is squeezed between river and hillside, so the town reads as a narrow, stretched shape rather than a spreading circle. It is a quiet map of a mountain town, with few lines and a clear sense of place.

River through town
A river winds through the valley and past the town centre. On the poster its soft curves contrast with the short, practical streets on either bank.
Old railway line
The track that brought the railway into the Mantiqueira leaves a steady line on the map, running alongside the valley and linking Itanhandu to the neighbouring towns.
