Eastern coastline
The township faces the sea along a long, curving shore. In black and white this coastline becomes the defining edge of the poster, separating fine street detail from open water.

Jinhu Map Poster & Print
Jinhu is a township on the eastern side of Kinmen, the island group administered by Taiwan that lies just off the coast of mainland Fujian. On a map, its outline is defined by the sea: a long coastline wraps around the east of the island, and inland the land is dotted with small reservoirs and ponds, low hills and the separate, compact cores of traditional villages.
The main settlement, Shanwai, forms the densest part of the township, while roads connect it to villages spread across farmland and wooded ground. Kinmen's position so close to the mainland made it a front line during the conflicts of the twentieth century, including the shelling of 1958, and traces of that era, such as tunnels and fortifications, remain part of the local landscape.
A Jinhu map poster turns this mix of coast, water and village into a well-balanced composition. The shoreline gives a strong outer edge, the reservoirs appear as calm pale shapes, and the village streets add small clusters of detail. It is a subtle, spacious map that suits people with ties to Kinmen or an interest in island geography.

Reservoirs and ponds
Small lakes and reservoirs are scattered through the township, including the lake near Shanwai. They appear as smooth, pale forms that break up the network of roads.
Village clusters
Traditional villages form small, dense knots of lanes spread across the island, linked by quieter roads rather than merging into one continuous town.
