Organic lanes
Streets wind along slopes and plot boundaries instead of following a grid. On the poster they form a flowing, hand-drawn looking network.

De kaart
Kallukuttam Map Poster & Print
Kallukuttam is in Kanyakumari district, Tamil Nadu's southernmost district, close to the border with Kerala. The landscape is quite unlike the drier plains further north. It is green and hilly, with coconut groves, paddy fields and small water bodies. Settlements run into one another along the roads, so the town has no sharp edge.
From above this creates a soft, spreading pattern. Lanes follow the terrain and property boundaries rather than a grid, curving around groves and fields. Houses are scattered through the vegetation, and main roads link the area to nearby towns and to the coast further south and west.
A Kallukuttam map poster reflects that organic, loosely knit character. The roads form a delicate network across the page, with open areas where the land is farmed or planted. It is an unusual and gentle print, suited to anyone with family ties to this corner of the subcontinent.

Continuous settlement
Houses and villages merge along the roads without a clear town edge, which is typical of this densely populated district.
Green open spaces
Groves, paddy fields and small ponds leave open areas between the lanes, giving the map a light and airy balance.
