Kaouara Map Poster & Print
Kaouara is in the Savanes District of northern Ivory Coast, not far from the borders with Mali and Burkina Faso. The landscape here is open savanna, very different from the forested south of the country, and the town spreads across it in a low, loose pattern.
On a map, Kaouara appears as a network of streets around a central area, with roads leading out into the countryside. The blocks are irregular, and the edges of town blend into fields and scattered compounds instead of stopping at a clear boundary. The black-and-white style suits this well, as it turns the unpaved road network into a delicate web.
A Kaouara map poster is an unusual subject, a place that rarely gets a printed map of its own. For people with family there, it records the layout of a town that is known mostly to the people who live in it and to those who have left for Abidjan or further away.

Loose town fabric
Irregular blocks and compounds form an open, low-density pattern that reads as fine texture on the poster.
Savanna setting
Open land surrounds the settlement, so the town appears as a clear shape with plenty of space around it.
