Kapos valley
The river and its channels run along the valley floor, and the railway and roads follow the same line, giving the map a strong horizontal structure.

Kaposvár Map Poster & Print
Kaposvár is the seat of Somogy County in southwestern Hungary, south of Lake Balaton. It grew in the valley of the Kapos river, and on a map the flat valley floor and the higher ground to the north and south are easy to read. The centre sits low, and residential streets climb the slopes in curving lines.
The heart of the city is a walkable core of squares and a long pedestrian main street lined with buildings from the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Kaposvár is the birthplace of the painter József Rippl-Rónai, whose former villa on the edge of town is now a museum, and it has a well-known theatre named after the playwright Gergely Csiky.
A Kaposvár map poster brings out the contrast between the dense historic centre and the green, hilly surroundings where the Zselic hills begin. Railway lines follow the valley, and newer districts spread along the main roads. The result is a map with a clear core and softly irregular edges, well suited to the larger print sizes.

Pedestrian centre
A tight cluster of squares and streets forms the historic core, and the pedestrian main street draws a clear line through the densest part of the poster.
Hillside districts
Streets on the surrounding slopes wind in loops and terraces. This softer pattern frames the centre and hints at the wooded Zselic hills to the south.
