Converging roads
Several routes from neighbouring villages meet in the town centre, giving the map a loose star shape that shows how Kharhiāl works as a local market and meeting point.

Kharhiāl Map Poster & Print
Kharhiāl sits in the Nuapada district of western Odisha, not far from the border with Chhattisgarh. From above, the town is a small, dense cluster of lanes set on wide agricultural plains. Main roads lead in from surrounding villages and meet near the centre, where the street pattern is tightest, then thin out quickly as the built-up area gives way to paddy fields.
The shape of the town comes from how it grew. Houses and shops line the approach roads first, so the outline reaches along each route, while the spaces between fill in more slowly. Small tanks and ponds, common across this part of Odisha, show up as quiet blank shapes among the streets, and field boundaries give the edges a faint grid.
A Kharhiāl map poster keeps that simplicity. There is no grand avenue or waterfront to lean on, only the plain logic of a regional town: a centre where roads meet, a ring of homes around it, and the countryside pressing in on every side. In black and white, that modest structure reads clearly and calmly.

Water tanks
Small ponds and tanks scattered between the streets appear as clean, solid shapes, a typical feature of settlements on the dry plains of western Odisha.
Open farmland edge
The built-up area ends abruptly in fields, so the poster shows a clear border between the dense lanes of the town and the wide, lightly marked country beyond.
