Railway junction
Several lines meet at Kinel’. The wide bundle of tracks and sidings is the heaviest element on the map and splits the town into separate halves.

Kinel’ Map Poster & Print
Kinel’ lies a short distance east of Samara, on flat land near the point where the Bolshoy Kinel River approaches the Samara River. It grew as a railway town, and the railway still dominates its map. Lines converge here from several directions, and the broad band of tracks and yards cuts through the town, dividing it into distinct districts on either side.
In most places the residential streets follow a practical grid, with blocks of private houses and apartment buildings laid out along the railway. The river valley adds softer lines: meanders, oxbow lakes and floodplain meadows that the town has mostly left open. Beyond them, the fields of the Samara region stretch away in large rectangles.
A Kinel’ map poster makes the contrast between rail and river its central theme, setting the rigid, parallel strokes of the junction against the looping curves of the water. For people who worked on the railway or grew up in the town, that pairing is instantly recognisable, and it gives the design a clear graphic structure.

Meandering river
The Bolshoy Kinel winds through its floodplain in loose curves and oxbow lakes, a natural counterpoint to the straight engineered lines of the railway.
Grid of private houses
Much of the town is low-rise housing on regular rectangular blocks. On the map it reads as an even, orderly texture spreading out from the station area.
