Highway through town
A main road passes straight through Klaeng and forms the spine of the town. Most streets branch off this line, which gives the map a clear central axis that holds the design together.

Klaeng Map Poster & Print
Klaeng sits in the east of Rayong province, where the road network thins out and fields and plantations take over. From above, the town reads as a tight cluster of streets gathered around a main road, with lanes running off it and quickly giving way to open land. The built-up area is small and close-knit, and that gives the town a clear, readable outline on paper.
Beyond the town, the wider district runs south to the shore of the Gulf of Thailand, so a map of the area can take in both the grid of the town and the soft line of the coast. Between the two lie roads, plots of farmland and scattered villages. On a Klaeng map poster the dense centre stands out as a dark knot of streets, with thinner lines reaching out toward the sea and the hills inland.
Klaeng is best known in Thailand through Sunthorn Phu, the classical poet whose family came from this part of Rayong. He is remembered in the district and across the country. The town also keeps an older market quarter of low shophouses. It is a working provincial town rather than a resort, and its map reflects that: practical roads, modest blocks and a layout shaped by trade and agriculture.

Older market quarter
The historic centre is a small area of narrow streets lined with low shophouses. From above it shows as a finer, denser pattern than the newer blocks around it.
Coast to the south
The district reaches the Gulf of Thailand, so a wider view adds a long, gentle shoreline. It contrasts well with the angular streets of the town inland.
