De kaart
Kumertau Map Poster & Print
Kumertau grew in the mid-twentieth century around the extraction of brown coal, and its name is usually explained from Bashkir as coal mountain. It lies in the south of Bashkortostan, close to Meleuz, in rolling terrain at the edge of the Southern Urals foothills. The town was built largely according to plan, and that shows clearly from above.
The city is also known for its helicopter plant, which has long been one of the major employers in the town. On the map, industrial zones appear as large, distinct areas at the edge of the residential districts, which are organised in regular blocks with wide, straight streets typical of Soviet-era planning.
A Kumertau map poster highlights that deliberate, geometric structure. Unlike older towns shaped by rivers or trade routes, its layout follows a clear design, with parallel streets and consistent block sizes. Surrounded by open fields and gentle hills, the town reads as a neat, self-contained composition, ideal for a minimalist black-and-white print.

Industrial districts
Large industrial zones, including the aviation plant, sit at the town's edges and appear as broad, open shapes that contrast with the tighter residential grid.
Foothill surroundings
Rolling fields and low hills surround the town, their roads and tracks adding softer lines that frame the planned centre.
