Lages Map Poster & Print
Lages is the largest city of the Serra Catarinense, the high plateau of inland Santa Catarina. It sits at nearly a thousand metres above sea level, and the terrain around it is a landscape of rolling hills, streams and open fields. On the map the city spreads unevenly over this ground, its central grid giving way to curving streets that follow the slopes and valleys.
The region is known for its cold winters, among the coldest in Brazil, and for its ranching tradition, with cattle country stretching across the plateau. Araucaria pines once covered much of the landscape and still appear in patches around the city. Lages celebrates the seeds of that tree, the pinhão, with a well-known annual festival that draws visitors from across the south.
A Lages map poster shows a city in conversation with its terrain. The orderly centre, the roads leading out toward the highlands and the irregular edges shaped by hills and streams combine into a layout with both structure and movement. It is a natural choice for people from the Serra and for those who associate it with winter journeys.

Rolling edges
Beyond the centre, streets curve with the hills and valleys, creating an irregular outline that reflects the undulating landscape of the plateau.
Highland roads
Main highways leave the city in several directions across open country, long lines that point toward the ranches and small towns of the Serra Catarinense.

Waarom Lages
Een kaart met betekenis
Lages stays with people who grew up with its frosty mornings and wide highland views. A map of the city brings that sense of place into a home anywhere, and its mix of grid and curves makes it a quietly striking piece.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line with a family name or a special date, and choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Noir echoes the long winter nights of the plateau.
