Valley centre
The oldest streets gather on the lower ground around the main church and square. On the poster they form the densest area, with blocks shaped by the valley floor.

Lima Duarte Map Poster & Print
Lima Duarte lies in the Zona da Mata of Minas Gerais, in the hilly country of the Serra da Mantiqueira, south of Juiz de Fora. The town sits in a valley, and its streets follow the shape of the land: a central area on the lower ground, with roads curving up the slopes in every direction. From above, the plan is irregular and soft, shaped by topography more than by design.
The town is best known as the gateway to the Parque Estadual do Ibitipoca, a mountain park known for its quartzite ridges, caves and waterfalls. Visitors pass through Lima Duarte on the way up, and the road toward the park is one of the notable lines leaving the town. Farmland and forest cover the hills in between.
A Lima Duarte map poster shows a small town fitted closely into its valley, with streams and roads threading through the hills around it. In monochrome, the curving streets create a gentle, flowing composition. It suits anyone who has hiked Ibitipoca or grew up among these hills.

Road toward Ibitipoca
The route toward the state park leaves town into the higher country. It links Lima Duarte to one of the best-known mountain landscapes in Minas Gerais.
