Converging roads
Main roads from several directions meet in central Lira, and the town grew around these junctions. They are the dominant lines on the map and give it a clear focal point.

Lira Map Poster & Print
Lira is the main town of the Lango sub-region in northern Uganda. The land around it is mostly flat and green, with scattered homesteads and cultivated plots. From above, the town is a compact commercial centre where several main roads meet, surrounded by lower-density neighbourhoods that fade gradually into the countryside.
The town serves as a trading and administrative hub for the surrounding districts, and it is home to Lira University. Its markets draw produce from the farmland around it, and the roads that converge on the centre link it with Gulu, Soroti and the route south towards Kampala.
A Lira map poster shows a town defined by its roads: the junctions at the centre, the grid of commercial streets around them and the looser pattern of paths and plots beyond. In black and white, the design is spare and readable, with the main routes reaching out to the edges of the frame.

Commercial centre
The core is a small grid of streets lined with shops and markets. On the poster it forms the densest part of the composition, surrounded by more open ground.
Open surroundings
Beyond the centre, housing thins out into farmland and savanna. The loose network of tracks and smaller roads adds a gentle texture around the edges.
