Two coastlines
The west-facing beach and the south-facing estuary meet at the corner of the town. This gives the map a distinctive angled outline.

Lytham St Annes Map Poster & Print
Lytham St Annes occupies the southwestern corner of the Fylde, where the coast turns from the open Irish Sea into the Ribble estuary. St Annes faces west over a long beach backed by sand dunes. Lytham, to the east, looks south across the estuary's mudflats and channels. On a map, two shorelines meet at an angle, and planned residential streets fill the land behind them.
Lytham is known for the white windmill that stands on the green beside the estuary. St Annes has a Victorian pier and was laid out as a resort in the late nineteenth century. Between them, the Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club has hosted the Open Championship many times on its links course.
A Lytham St Annes map poster traces both coastlines, the orderly resort streets of St Annes, the older centre of Lytham and the open spaces of the golf links and dunes. It is a composition of long lines and calm edges, much like the place itself.

Lytham Green
A long open strip runs along the estuary front, with the windmill at its centre. It forms a pale band between the water and the town.
Links and dunes
The golf links and the dune belt appear as broad open areas behind the beach. They break up the streets with generous white space.
