Central plaza grid
Streets lead away from the main square in a regular chequerboard, the classic layout of Colombian towns, forming the densest and most graphic part of the map.

Málaga Map Poster & Print
Málaga stands high in the Eastern Cordillera of the Colombian Andes and is the main town of García Rovira province in Santander. From above, the settlement takes up a patch of gentler ground among steep ridges and deep ravines. Its orderly blocks contrast sharply with the irregular terrain that closes in around it on every side.
The town follows the Spanish colonial pattern found across Colombia: a central square with streets meeting it at right angles, the grid extending outward until the slopes stop it. Beyond the last blocks, roads follow the contours instead of running straight, tracing the effort it takes to reach or leave a mountain town in this part of Santander.
A Málaga map poster captures that meeting of order and topography. The rectilinear centre prints as a dense, legible pattern, while switchbacks and scattered rural lanes at the margins give the composition movement. The town shares its name with the Spanish port, but the map makes it plain that this Málaga belongs to the mountains, not the sea.

Winding mountain roads
The routes out of Málaga twist along ridges and valley sides, drawing loose curving lines that contrast with the straight blocks of the centre.
Edge of the slopes
The grid ends abruptly where the ground steepens, so the town's outline is set by terrain rather than by planning, giving it a distinctive irregular silhouette.
