The Chari River
The river runs past the town and forms the dominant line on the map, its wide, shifting banks contrasting with the finer pattern of streets and compounds.

Mandelia Map Poster & Print
Mandelia lies in the Chari-Baguirmi region of Chad, south of the capital, on the flat floodplain of the Chari River. From above, the town is a low, open pattern of compounds and sandy lanes. The river makes the strongest line in the frame, bending past the settlement on its way north toward Lake Chad.
The land here is almost level, so the map is shaped by water rather than by hills. Seasonal channels, low islands and the braided margins of the Chari change from wet season to dry. In black and white, these soft riverbanks set against the tighter grain of the town give the composition a quiet, horizontal rhythm.
A Mandelia map poster keeps the drawing honest: the lanes, the edge of the built area and the river as they appear in open map data. Nothing is added for decoration. The result is a spare portrait of a riverside town in the Sahel, where the settlement and the water sit side by side.

Open floodplain
Flat land around Mandelia leaves the map uncluttered by contours, so tracks, field edges and water channels carry the composition instead.
Compact town core
The built area is small and self-contained, a cluster of lanes that reads clearly even on the largest print sizes.

Waarom Mandelia
Een kaart met betekenis
For people with family ties to Chari-Baguirmi, or who have worked along the Chari, this map is a plain, dignified record of a specific place. It avoids postcard imagery and shows the town the way it is actually laid out beside the river.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be changed, so the poster can carry a family name, a year or a personal note. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Sand suits the warm tones of the Sahel particularly well.
