Maragondon Map Poster & Print
Maragondon is a municipality in the southwest of Cavite province, south of Manila Bay. Most people live in a compact town centre near the Maragondon River. Beyond it, the municipality opens into a large, mostly rural area of rolling land and forested mountains. From above, a small cluster of streets sits beside a winding waterway, while wide green space and scattered barangays spread out toward the hills.
Maragondon holds a significant place in Philippine history. In 1897, the revolutionary leader Andrés Bonifacio was tried here, and the house where the trial took place is now a historic site. He was executed in the mountains nearby. The town's colonial-era stone church is also recognised for its heritage, with a carved interior that draws visitors to a municipality that is otherwise quiet.
A Maragondon map poster captures a Spanish-era town plan with church and plaza at its core, held in a bend of land by the river and the uplands. Roads leave the centre and fade into rural lanes. This works well on a poster because the empty spaces matter as much as the streets. The terrain explains why the town stayed small.

Maragondon River
The river winds past the town centre toward the coast and adds a soft curve to the neat blocks of the poblacion.
Upland interior
Much of the municipality is hilly and forested. On the map this appears as wide open space, crossed only by a few roads and lanes.

Waarom Maragondon
Een kaart met betekenis
Maragondon means something to Caviteños, to students of the Philippine Revolution, and to families whose roots go back to its barangays. The small, historic centre, surrounded by open land, makes a quiet and meaningful picture for a home or a classroom.
