Marataizes Map Poster & Print
Marataízes lies on the southern coast of Espírito Santo, and its map is shaped by the Atlantic. The town extends along the shoreline, with streets running parallel to the beach and short cross streets leading down to the sand. Behind the coastal strip the land is low, with lagoons and wetland areas that break up the built-up area and create irregular pockets of water inland.
The town has long been a summer destination for families from Espírito Santo and neighbouring Minas Gerais, and its population grows substantially during the holiday season. The beaches along its coast vary from open sandy stretches to smaller sections framed by rocks, and the waterfront road follows them closely.
A Marataízes map poster shows a town that lives facing the sea. The long coastline gives the composition a strong edge, while the lagoons behind it add softer, rounded shapes. In black and white, the contrast between the regular beachfront blocks and the organic outlines of the water inland makes for a balanced and quietly graphic design.

Coastal lagoons
Behind the beaches, lagoons and wetlands create rounded, irregular water shapes that interrupt the town's street pattern.
Beachfront blocks
Streets parallel to the sea and short cross streets form a simple, ladder-like pattern typical of Brazilian beach towns.
