Central grid
The historic centre follows a regular pattern of square blocks around the main plaza and parish church. On a map this is the densest and most legible part of town.

Maravatío de Ocampo Map Poster & Print
Maravatío de Ocampo sits in the far east of Michoacán, where the state meets the high plateau that stretches toward the State of Mexico. From above, the town looks like many colonial foundations in central Mexico. It has a tight grid of blocks around a main square, and the streets loosen into irregular lanes and farm plots toward the edges.
The valley floor around the town is wide and mostly flat, divided into fields that make a patchwork of long strips and angled parcels. Regional roads come in from several directions and meet near the centre. A railway line cuts its own straight path past the blocks, a reminder that Maravatío grew as a stop on routes crossing central Mexico.
A Maravatío de Ocampo map poster shows that contrast clearly. The dense colonial core is drawn in fine lines, the transport corridors run through it, and the open agricultural valley surrounds it. In black and white the town reads as a small, orderly knot in a big landscape. It is a quiet image of a place many people know as home, or as a waypoint on the road between Mexico City and Morelia.

Valley farmland
Beyond the built edge, the land breaks into field parcels of different sizes and angles. They give the outer part of the poster a soft, woven texture.
Rail and road lines
A railway and several regional roads cross the valley in long straight or gently curving strokes. They tie the town to the wider network of central Mexico.

Waarom Maravatío de Ocampo
Een kaart met betekenis
For people from Maravatío, or anyone with family roots in eastern Michoacán, the map is a way to keep the familiar blocks around the plaza close. It also marks a connection to a region that often goes unrepresented in mainstream wall art.
You can personalise the title and subtitle, for example with a family name or a year, and edit the coordinates line. Then choose one of five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, to match the room where it will hang.
