Valley-floor grid
The town's central streets are laid out in a regular pattern on the flattest ground, a neat block of lines enclosed by the rising terrain around it.

Mengyin Map Poster & Print
Mengyin is the seat of a county in Linyi, in southern Shandong, and it lies in the middle of the Yimeng mountain region. The town occupies a valley, and on the map its streets are held in place by the surrounding ridges: the centre forms a compact grid on the flat ground, while the roads beyond it curve and climb.
Mount Meng, one of the best-known peaks in Shandong, rises in the wider area, and the hills around the county are widely planted with orchards. Mengyin is particularly known in China for its peaches. From above, this farmland appears as small, irregular plots on the slopes, a finer and looser pattern than the fields of the lowland plain.
A Mengyin map poster sets the planned blocks of the county town against the organic lines of the valley and its hillsides. The Yimeng region carries strong historical associations within China, and for many families it is simply home. The map treats it with the same restraint as any great city: lines, space and shape.

Mountain roads
Leaving the town, roads start to bend and follow the ridges and gullies of the Yimeng hills, drawing long curving strokes across the edges of the map.
Orchard slopes
The hillsides around Mengyin are divided into small orchard plots, which appear as a scattered, finely textured pattern quite unlike the grid of the centre.

Waarom Mengyin
Een kaart met betekenis
For people from Mengyin living in Linyi, Jinan or much farther away, this map is a quiet reminder of the valley and the hills around it. Personalise the title and subtitle, perhaps with a family name or the year you left, and keep or edit the coordinates line.
Classic black & white gives the valley grid a sharp, graphic look, while Paper softens it for a warmer room. The $9 digital download includes six print sizes, from A3 to 24×36″, each as a 300 DPI PNG and a print-ready PDF.
