Mlowo Map Poster & Print
Mlowo lies in Mbozi District of Songwe Region, in the southern highlands of Tanzania. The main road from Mbeya to the Zambian border runs straight through it, and much of the town has grown along that line. Shops, garages and markets face the highway, and residential lanes branch off behind them. On a map this gives Mlowo a long, straight spine.
The highlands around Mlowo are known for coffee, and farms and smallholdings fill the land between settlements. The town sits close to Vwawa, the regional centre, so on the map the two look like neighbours on the same road. Away from the highway the pattern loosens. Unpaved roads curve with the terrain, following ridges and small valleys, and the blocks grow larger and less regular.
