Moyotzingo Map Poster & Print
Santa María Moyotzingo lies in the state of Puebla, in the San Martín Texmelucan area on the high central plateau of Mexico. The valley here is broad and fairly flat, and from above the town appears as a spread of streets roughly arranged around a central square and church, with blocks becoming looser towards the edges where fields begin.
Like many towns in central Mexico, Moyotzingo has an old core close to its church, with newer neighbourhoods and roads spreading outward and gradually merging with neighbouring settlements. The farmland between them is divided into long, narrow plots, and on clear days the volcanoes of the Sierra Nevada rise to the west, though they sit beyond a typical town-scale frame.
A Moyotzingo map poster shows the texture of a valley town on the altiplano: a central square, streets branching outward and long field strips all around. In black and white, the contrast between the dense centre and the linear pattern of fields gives the poster clarity and quiet structure.

Long field strips
Surrounding farmland is divided into long, narrow plots, whose boundaries create striped patterns across the flat valley floor.
Merging settlements
Roads connect the town with neighbouring communities, and newer housing along them blurs the edges between one settlement and the next.
