Ngong Map Poster & Print
Ngong lies in Kajiado County, southwest of Nairobi, at the foot of the Ngong Hills, a distinctive ridge with a series of rounded peaks. On a map the town spreads across the lower slopes, with roads running toward Nairobi and fanning out into growing residential areas. To the west, the hills drop steeply toward the floor of the Great Rift Valley.
The Ngong Hills are known worldwide from Karen Blixen's memoir Out of Africa, which opens with her farm at the foot of these hills. Denys Finch Hatton is buried on their slopes. Today a line of wind turbines stands along the ridge, and the hills are a popular place for walking, with wide views across the region.
A Ngong map poster shows the town where suburb meets upland. Streets are denser near the centre and loosen along the slopes, while the ridge forms a clear boundary with open land beyond. In black and white, the composition captures both the growth of greater Nairobi and the enduring presence of the hills.

Growing suburbs
Residential streets spread outward from the town centre and along the roads to Nairobi, showing how Ngong has become part of the capital's wider area.
Rift Valley edge
Beyond the hills the land drops sharply toward the Great Rift Valley, and the sudden change in terrain gives the map an unusually strong sense of place.

Waarom Ngong
Een kaart met betekenis
Ngong is where many families have settled on Nairobi's edge, and where the hills remain in view every day. A map of the town is a calm reminder of home, of weekend walks on the ridge, or of the landscape made famous in literature.
