Niquero Map Poster & Print
Niquero lies on the western coast of Granma Province, facing the shallow Gulf of Guacanayabo in eastern Cuba. The town grew around sugar production, and its sugar mill has long been part of local life. From above, the street plan is a regular grid of blocks near the water, with rail lines and roads reaching inland across cane fields and low coastal land.
The area is closely tied to a key moment in modern Cuban history. In December 1956 the yacht Granma, carrying Fidel Castro and his companions, landed at Las Coloradas, south of Niquero. The landing is commemorated by the Desembarco del Granma National Park, whose coastal terraces and cliffs are a UNESCO World Heritage site.
A Niquero map poster shows a quiet provincial town in clear lines: the orderly blocks, the waterfront edge, the mill and the tracks leading away through farmland. Beyond the town, the coastline runs south towards Cabo Cruz. The flat land and the shallow gulf give the composition a calm, horizontal balance.

Gulf shoreline
The shallow Gulf of Guacanayabo edges the town. It is drawn as a smooth, low coastline fringed with mangroves and small inlets.
Sugar landscape
Roads and railway spurs lead out from the mill across flat farmland. They recall the industry that shaped Niquero and much of eastern Cuba.
