Valley-floor streets
The built-up area occupies level ground in the valley, where streets can run straight. This compact core forms the densest part of the poster and draws the eye to the centre.

Nongzhang Map Poster & Print
Nongzhang is a town in the far west of Yunnan province, in the Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture close to the border with Myanmar. The terrain here alternates between mountain ridges and flat, fertile valley floors, and the town sits where the land levels out enough for streets, fields and settlement to spread.
From above, the contrast is clear. A modest grid of streets and newer blocks gathers around the main roads, while rice fields and farmland fill the flat ground around it, and hills rise at the edges of the map. Watercourses from the mountains cross the valley, adding thin, wandering lines to the otherwise ordered layout.
A Nongzhang map poster is a portrait of a borderland valley town rather than a big-city plan. The concentrated centre, the open plain and the rougher outline of the surrounding slopes give the print a balanced, understated look. It suits anyone with a connection to Dehong or an interest in the quieter corners of southwest China.

Surrounding farmland
Flat cultivated land spreads around the town, leaving wide areas of calm space on the map. It sets off the street network and emphasises how the town sits within an agricultural landscape.
Mountain margins
Hills and ridges enclose the valley, and roads bend as they climb towards them. These curving routes at the edge of the frame give the composition movement and a sense of enclosure.
