Novoukrayinka Map Poster & Print
Novoukrayinka lies in Kirovohrad region, in the open steppe of central Ukraine. The Chornyi Tashlyk river runs through the town, and the railway crosses it as well, so the map divides into several districts connected by bridges and crossings. Beyond the edge of town, wide rectangular fields stretch out in every direction.
The town grew as a railway station and market centre for the surrounding farmland, and the line still gives the map one of its most important axes. Streets near the station and the centre are denser, while the outer districts are made up of individual houses with long gardens set in regular rows.
A Novoukrayinka map poster brings those elements together: the curving river, the straight railway and the grid of residential streets filling the spaces between them. It is a map of a practical, hardworking town, and its balance of curved and straight lines makes for a strong graphic composition.
