Parambu Map Poster & Print
Parambu is a town in the interior of Ceará, in the semi-arid backlands known as the sertão, toward the border with Piauí. Its map is modest: a compact grid of streets around the centre, a church square and a few roads leading out into open country, where the network quickly gives way to scattered farms and tracks.
The surrounding landscape is shaped by long dry seasons and short periods of rain. Streams and riverbeds that fill only in the wet months appear on the map as thin lines winding across the terrain, and small reservoirs dot the countryside, reflecting the importance of stored water in this part of northeastern Brazil.
A Parambu map poster captures the scale of a sertão town honestly, with no crowded streets or grand landmarks, just a clear core set in wide, open land. In black and white it has an almost sketch-like quality that suits the spare character of the region.

Seasonal riverbeds
Thin lines of streams that flow mainly during the rainy season wind through the surrounding land, among the few natural features that stand out on the map.
Open sertão
Beyond town, rural roads and tracks cross a wide semi-arid landscape, leaving much of the map spare and open, an accurate picture of the region.
