City edge
Pisochyn borders Kharkiv on the west, so the frame catches the point where the regular urban blocks give way to a looser suburban grid of houses and gardens.

Pisochyn Map Poster & Print
Pisochyn sits just beyond the western boundary of Kharkiv, and from above it looks like a place built where the city meets the countryside. Short residential lanes lined with detached houses branch off a few main roads. Garden plots fill the blocks between them, and open fields and patches of woodland press in from the edges.
The settlement's shape follows the roads that lead into Kharkiv rather than any single centre. Denser clusters form where those routes cross, and the street pattern loosens as it moves outward. A poster makes this in-between character easy to read: the fine texture of small plots against the broad, unbroken shapes of the land around them.
A Pisochyn map poster works well for people who know the place as home, somewhere close to the city but not inside it. At print scale the thin lines of the lanes and the gaps between them become a quiet pattern. It is a record of everyday streets rather than landmarks, and that is often what people most want to keep.

Garden plots
Most blocks are divided into long, narrow private plots. At poster scale they form a fine, repeating texture that sets the settlement apart from the apartment districts next door.
Surrounding land
Fields and woodland surround the built-up area, leaving wide empty spaces in the print. They give the street network a clear outline and a calm, open frame.

Waarom Pisochyn
Een kaart met betekenis
People hang Pisochyn on the wall because it is where they grew up, built a house or spent summers close to Kharkiv. The map shows the lanes they walked every day, drawn cleanly with nothing added, the way a familiar place looks once you step back from it.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a family name or a move-in date. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. HD files cost $9, or you can order a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
