Branching lanes
Small roads fork and curve between house plots rather than following a grid, giving the poster a fine, root-like texture across the whole frame.

Puzhathi Map Poster & Print
Puzhathi lies close to Kannur on the northern Kerala coast, and its map looks very different from a planned town. Instead of a grid, narrow roads and lanes branch and curve through a landscape of homesteads, gardens and coconut groves. The built-up pattern is spread out rather than concentrated, which is typical of much of Kerala, where town and village often blend into one continuous settlement.
The area is part of the Malabar region, and the coastline, backwaters and the city of Kannur are all close by. Houses tend to sit on their own plots surrounded by trees, so the network of paths and roads becomes the clearest element on a map, tracing how people move between homes, schools, shops and the main road.
A Puzhathi map poster turns that meandering network into a delicate linear drawing. There is no single centre dominating the frame; instead, the eye follows lanes that split, rejoin and drift toward larger roads. The result is lighter and more organic than most city maps, and it rewards a closer look at the details.

Main road corridors
A few larger roads connect the area with Kannur and neighbouring localities. They stand out as bolder lines and give the composition its structure.
Garden settlement pattern
Homes set among trees leave plenty of open space between lanes, so the map reads as airy and green in feel even in monochrome.
