Sāmbūrvadakara Map Poster & Print
Sāmbūrvadakara lies in the southern part of Tamil Nadu, in Tenkasi district, where the plains meet the foothills of the Western Ghats. From above, the town is a compact cluster of streets among green farmland. To the west the ground rises toward the mountains, and the map shows the change from cultivated plain to wooded slopes.
The surrounding landscape is organised around water. Irrigation tanks, the traditional reservoirs of southern India, appear as rounded shapes among the fields, and channels lead from them to paddy fields and coconut groves. A Sāmbūrvadakara map poster captures this system, in which each field and road seems to relate to the flow of water from the hills.
The area is known for its closeness to the Western Ghats, and the waterfalls at Courtallam, a popular destination during the monsoon, lie a short distance away. The town itself is modest in scale, and its value on a map is the clear relationship between settlement, farmland and mountains in a single frame.

Western Ghats foothills
To the west the plain gives way to rising, wooded slopes, forming a dark and textured edge to the composition.
Paddy and groves
Rice fields and coconut plantations cover the land around the town in a fine patchwork, crossed by channels and narrow rural roads.
