Sertânia Map Poster & Print
Sertânia lies in the Moxotó area of Pernambuco's sertão, the semi-arid interior of north-eastern Brazil. The town is compact, with a central grid of streets around its squares and a handful of main roads running outward across the plain. Beyond the last houses the map opens into wide, lightly marked terrain, where dirt tracks connect farms and small communities scattered through the caatinga scrub.
Rainfall here is irregular, and much of the landscape is organised around that fact. Reservoirs and small dams dot the countryside, and riverbeds that carry water only in the wet season show up as meandering lines. The sertão has a strong cultural identity, known across Brazil through its music, literature and traditions of cattle ranching, and the town's name echoes the region itself.
A Sertânia map poster captures the essential geometry of a sertão town: a dense, orderly core and a vast, sparse surrounding space. The contrast gives the print a quiet, almost meditative quality. It suits anyone who knows the heat, the light and the long roads of the interior, and wants to keep that memory in a clear, simple form.

Seasonal riverbeds
Intermittent rivers and streams wind through the surrounding country, visible as fine curving lines that fill with water only after the rains.
Reservoirs and tracks
Small dams and a web of unpaved roads mark the rural area, drawing a sparse network across the caatinga between farms and settlements.
