Shangluo Map Poster & Print
Shangluo lies in south-eastern Shaanxi, on the southern side of the Qinling Mountains, the range that divides northern and southern China. The urban centre, Shangzhou District, occupies a narrow valley along the Dan River, and the city's shape is set almost entirely by the terrain. On a map it appears as a long, slender band of streets between steep, empty slopes on either side.
Within that band the layout is practical: main roads run parallel to the river, with bridges crossing at intervals and short side streets climbing toward the valley walls. Newer districts extend along the flatter land further up and down the valley. Expressways and a railway follow the same corridor, often in tunnels or on viaducts where the mountains close in.
The wider prefecture is largely mountainous and forested, part of the Qinling landscape known for its biodiversity. A Shangluo map poster suits anyone drawn to places where geography is plainly visible, where a single river and the hills around it decide how a city grows and where its edges end.

Qinling slopes
Steep mountainsides rise directly behind the built-up area, leaving large blank areas on the map that make the thin line of the city even more striking.
Bridges and viaducts
Crossings over the Dan and elevated transport lines follow the valley, drawn as fine connecting strokes between the two sides of the river.

Waarom Shangluo
Een kaart met betekenis
This map appeals to people from Shangluo now living in Xi'an or further away, and to anyone who likes landscapes where a river shapes everything. The long, linear composition works especially well in a tall frame.
You can rename the title, write a subtitle with a date or a message, and edit the coordinates line. Blueprint and Noir emphasise the valley's thin line of streets, while Classic black & white, Paper and Sand keep it softer.
