The Western Bug
The river winds past the town in loose bends through open meadows, giving the poster a natural curve along one side and a band of white space around it.

Sheptytskyi Map Poster & Print
Sheptytskyi, known until 2024 as Chervonohrad, lies in the north of Lviv Oblast on the Western Bug, close to the Polish border. The Potocki family founded it in the late seventeenth century as Krystynopil, and its current name honours Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky. On a map the river curves past the town, with low meadows on its banks and a compact centre nearby.
The older core includes the Potocki palace and historic churches, but much of the plan dates from the Soviet period, when coal mining in the Lviv–Volyn basin turned the town into an industrial centre. Wide avenues, regular blocks of apartment buildings and industrial zones spread out from the centre and give the map a clear, planned structure.
A Sheptytskyi map poster captures both sides of that history. Near the river the lines are softer and older. Further out, mine sites, rail spurs and spoil heaps sit among the fields as distinct shapes. For people from the town, the new name in the title and the familiar street plan together make a meaningful print.

Planned Soviet districts
Broad avenues and regular residential blocks spread out from the centre in a clear, orderly pattern that reads strongly in black and white.
Mining landscape
Rail lines, mine complexes and spoil heaps are scattered across the surroundings. Their angular and rounded shapes set this map apart from most town plans.
