De kaart
Sinjai Map Poster & Print
Sinjai lies on the eastern coast of the southern arm of Sulawesi, facing the Gulf of Bone. It is the main town of Sinjai Regency, and its map shows a compact grid of streets near the shore, with roads leading inland towards hills and farmland.
The coast is a mix of river mouths, fishponds and mangroves, and the map shows it as a complex, finely broken edge rather than a clean line. Rectangular aquaculture ponds line parts of the shore, while inland the land rises gradually, with roads following valleys towards the higher ground of the interior.
Offshore lies a group of small islands, known locally as Pulau Sembilan, meaning nine islands, which appear as scattered shapes in the gulf. A Sinjai map poster brings together the town, the working coast and these islands, creating a composition where land and sea are closely woven together.

Fishponds and mangroves
Along the shore, rectangular ponds and mangrove channels create a detailed, geometric coastline, where land and water are divided into small parcels.
