Rio Verde
The river winds through the town. Its bends and bridges form the central feature of the poster and tie together the neighbourhoods on either side.

Três Corações Map Poster & Print
Três Corações lies in the south of Minas Gerais, on the Rio Verde, in a landscape of rolling hills and pasture. The river crosses the town and shapes its layout. The older centre sits close to the water, and newer districts spread up the surrounding slopes. From above, the streets form irregular grids that bend to fit the terrain.
The town is known around the world as the birthplace of Pelé, who was born here in 1940, and it has monuments in his honour. It is also home to the Brazilian Army's school for sergeants, whose large grounds stand out on the map as a separate, orderly block among the residential streets.
Beyond the town, roads lead out across the farming and dairy country typical of southern Minas. A Três Corações map poster captures the river curving through the streets, the hills that frame them and the long roads connecting this inland town to the rest of the state, all drawn simply as black lines on white.

Hillside streets
Away from the river, streets climb and curve over rolling ground, so the grid breaks into irregular shapes that give the map texture and movement.
Military school grounds
The sergeants' school occupies a large, clearly bounded area with its own internal roads and fields, forming a recognisable geometric block within the town.

Waarom Três Corações
Een kaart met betekenis
Football fans hang Três Corações as a nod to where Pelé began, while locals and former cadets see the streets they walked every day. Either way, the map is a quiet, graphic portrait of an inland Brazilian town.
