Concession road grid
Straight rural roads divide the land around the town into large rectangles, a pattern typical of southern Ontario that reads clearly from above.

De kaart
Uxbridge Map Poster & Print
Uxbridge is a township in Durham Region, north-east of Toronto, and the town at its centre is compact. From above, a short main street forms the spine, with residential streets branching off in a mix of older straight blocks and newer curving crescents. Beyond the edges, concession roads lay a broad rectangular grid over the countryside.
The town sits on the Oak Ridges Moraine, a band of rolling hills, forests and wetlands that shapes the landscape around it. On a map, that shows up as irregular green areas, small streams and roads that bend around the terrain. Uxbridge calls itself the Trail Capital of Canada, and trails thread through the woods and along old rail corridors.
An Uxbridge map poster sets the dense lines of the town against the quiet geometry of the rural grid. The concession roads divide the surroundings into large, even blocks, while trails and creeks add softer, meandering lines. It is a calm composition, closer to a landscape than a cityscape, and it rewards a closer look at the edges.

Waarom Uxbridge
Een kaart met betekenis
Uxbridge appeals to people who moved out of the city for more space, or who grew up walking its trails. The map gives the town and its countryside equal weight, which suits a home office or a cottage wall.
Add your own title, a move-in date or the coordinates of your house, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The Paper style softens the rural lines nicely.
