Yuxi Map Poster & Print
Yuxi lies about ninety kilometres south of Kunming, in a highland basin of central Yunnan. The urban core, Hongta district, fills the flat valley floor, and the surrounding mountains hold it in place. The map therefore shows a compact city with a clear outline rather than endless sprawl. Most streets are broad and straight, typical of a city largely rebuilt in recent decades.
In China, Yuxi is best known as the home of Hongta, one of the country's largest tobacco companies, which shares its name with the central district. The wider prefecture includes Fuxian Lake, one of the deepest freshwater lakes in China. It also includes the Chengjiang fossil site, recognised by UNESCO for its exceptionally preserved early Cambrian animals.
A Yuxi map poster presents a planned-looking city in a natural frame. The wide avenues and large blocks form a bold pattern in the centre, while hills, irrigation channels and fields soften the edges. It is a clean, modern composition, and the basin setting gives it a satisfying sense of enclosure.

Broad avenues
Main roads in the centre are wide and largely straight, dividing the city into large blocks that read strongly even at small print sizes.
Hills and fields
Beyond the built-up edge, hill slopes and cultivated land appear as open space, framing the dense centre with quieter surroundings.
