Zvyahel Map Poster & Print
Zvyahel stands on the Sluch River in the north-west of Zhytomyr Oblast. For much of the twentieth century it was known as Novohrad-Volynskyi, and in 2022 it returned to its historic name. On the map the river is the defining feature, curving through the town and separating the older centre from the districts on the opposite bank.
The town is best known as the birthplace of Lesya Ukrainka, one of the most important figures in Ukrainian literature, born here in 1871. Around the centre, streets form a mix of older irregular lanes near the river and later grid-like residential areas, while the wider landscape is one of fields, woods and wetland typical of the southern edge of Polissia.
A Zvyahel map poster captures a town shaped by water and forest. The Sluch loops through with its meadows and small islands, bridges tie the two banks together, and the street network spreads outward before giving way to farmland and pine woods. In monochrome it forms a calm, carefully composed portrait of a place with a long memory.

Historic centre
The oldest part of Zvyahel lies close to the river, where streets are less regular and the town's churches, squares and memorials cluster together.
Forest edges
Beyond the built-up area, fields quickly meet woodland and wetland, a landscape that frames the poster with soft, uneven shapes.
