Ambājogāi is a town in Beed district, on the Deccan plateau of central Maharashtra. The older part of town is made up of close, winding lanes, while newer areas spread out along the main roads in a looser pattern. From above, the town sits at the edge of the plateau, where the land begins to break into valleys and ridges.
The town is best known for the temple of Yogeshwari Devi, a family deity for many Marathi households, and for its links with Mukundraj, often counted among the earliest poets of the Marathi language.
