Arendal is a coastal town in Agder, on Norway's southern shore. Its map is a composition of water and rock: the harbour at Pollen, the steep old town on the Tyholmen peninsula, and the larger islands of Tromøy and Hisøy sheltering the approach from the Skagerrak.
