Çağlayancerit is a district town in the province of Kahramanmaraş, in south-central Turkey, set in hilly and mountainous country. On the map, the town follows the shape of its valley. Streets run along the contours instead of in straight lines, and the built-up area thins quickly where the ground gets steep.
The surrounding land is rugged, with farmland and orchards on the slopes and small streams in the valley floors. Roads link the town to the provincial centre and to villages in the district, winding through the hills.
