Contumo is part of the urban area of Bissau, the capital of Guinea-Bissau, on the low coastal land beside the wide Geba estuary. The terrain is flat, and on the map the neighbourhood appears as a dense spread of small streets and lanes, with larger roads linking it to the rest of the city.
