Ghosī is a town in the Mau district of eastern Uttar Pradesh, on the wide, flat alluvial plain of the Ganges basin. The land here is almost level, and from above it is covered by a fine patchwork of fields, divided into small plots and crossed by tracks, canals and seasonal watercourses.
