Il’skiy Map Poster & Print
Il’skiy is an urban settlement in the Seversky district of Krasnodar Krai, south-west of Krasnodar, where the Kuban plain meets the first ridges of the north-western Caucasus. The area has long been linked with oil, and the settlement is known in the region for its refinery. Roads and a railway pass through on their way between Krasnodar and the Black Sea coast.
On a map Il’skiy stretches in a band along the valley. The railway and main road run in parallel, and residential streets fill the space between and beyond them. Much of the fabric is private houses with long garden plots. The grid loosens where the ground rises into wooded foothills to the south.
An Il’skiy map poster shows flat land meeting hills in a single frame: straight transport lines, a quiet residential grid and the natural shapes of river and forest. The industrial zone forms its own area of large, simple outlines, which adds contrast to the composition.

River and valley
The river Il flows through the area. Its course and the trees along its banks draw a natural line through the grid.
Foothills edge
To the south the land rises into the forested foothills of the Caucasus. There the streets thin out and the roads begin to wind.
